Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, from Kunos Simulazioni Studios, hits Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025.
This initial release boasts 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, expect highly refined physics, precise handling, and remarkably realistic car behavior.
A standout feature is the free-roam mode, allowing for unrestricted exploration. A significant summer 2025 update promises a massive addition: a fully laser-scanned open world encompassing the legendary Nürburgring and its surrounding roads, spanning a staggering 1600 square kilometers, with further expansion planned.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to challenge established racing simulation giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, leveraging photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics.
The full launch will eventually feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with continuous free content updates. Each circuit will mirror real-world conditions, including tire wear, wet surfaces, and lively animated spectators for an immersive experience.
Developers have also enhanced vehicle dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption. Early Access includes the Driving Academy mode, featuring timed challenges across the available tracks, culminating in a license unlocking access to the game's top-tier vehicles. This will be a key single-player component of the Early Access release.
