To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where you played as the Nameless Hero, this demo lets you experience the game as Nyras, a prisoner fighting for survival in the same unforgiving world.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the Gothic Remake demo shattered concurrent player records for the entire series:

The demo showcases the remake's impressive visuals, enhanced animations, and a revamped combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue doesn't fully represent the expansive freedom and deep RPG mechanics of the complete game, it offers a compelling glimpse into what's to come.
Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG). A release date is yet to be announced.
