After a long-awaited period, fans of the iconic puzzle game can rejoice as World of Goo returns with a full sequel. 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation have just released World of Goo 2 on mobile platforms, alongside its launch on Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS for Android users.
A Ton of New Stuff
World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces an array of exciting features, including over 30 new achievements to unlock. A significant addition is the options menu, marking the first time such a feature has been included in any game by 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation.
The original World of Goo, launched on Windows back in October 2008, captivated players with its innovative gameplay of constructing peculiar bridges and towers using goo balls, challenging them with physics and gravity.
In this sequel, players can now manipulate realistic flowing, splashing, and viscous liquids, directing them like rivers, transforming them into Goo Balls, extinguishing fires, and tackling outlandish puzzles.
World of Goo 2 Mobile also introduces a variety of new Goo types, including Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, Explosive Goo, and many more unique species. Mastering the interactions between these different Goos promises to be an intriguing challenge.
