The story begins with a classic villainous scheme. Earth-212's heroes and villains, previously shrouded in mystery, are thrust into the spotlight by the sudden appearance of the Tower of Fate in Gotham. Lex Luthor's creation of mutants, possessing a blend of hero and villain powers, presents a formidable challenge. Defeating these creatures unlocks new playable heroes.
