Genshin, GTA Hybrid Receives China Approval

Ananta, formerly known as Project Mugen, is gearing up for launch, having recently revealed its title and a captivating trailer. This ambitious open-world urban RPG, developed by a collaboration between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain, is generating significant global buzz.

Early promotional materials showcased a unique blend of familiar gameplay elements, drawing comparisons to Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a striking anime aesthetic. The game's release in China is confirmed for 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms.

The December 5th trailer introduced Ananta's core premise: players assume the role of an A.C.D. agent operating within the sun-kissed coastal city of Nova, a location ripe with mystery and opportunities for exploration.

Key features highlighted include four-player team-based combat, a distinctive art style, and fluid, high-speed movement. The developers emphasize the game's unique combination of recognizable environments with a compelling supernatural twist.
