  • Connectivity options include Bluetooth, USB-C, and 2.4GHz wireless
  • Features Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, hair trigger mode, and interchangeable ABXY buttons
  • Available for $49.99

Earlier this year, GameSir launched the X5 Lite, a lightweight mobile controller that became popular among handheld gaming enthusiasts. Now, the company introduces the X5s—an enhanced model that maintains the same portable design while adding a range of new features for smoother and more immersive gameplay.

A key improvement is its tri-mode connectivity, supporting Bluetooth, wired USB-C, and 2.4GHz wireless. Whether you're playing on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Android, iOS, or PC, this flexibility lets you adapt effortlessly. The controller accommodates devices ranging from 105mm to 213mm in length, making it compatible with a wide variety of smartphones and handheld consoles. Its included PP storage case also ensures easy transport.

Precision is central to the X5s design. It incorporates GameSir’s Hall Effect joysticks, which use magnetic sensors to prevent drift and ensure long-lasting performance—rated for up to two million cycles. The triggers also utilize Hall Effect technology, delivering smooth and precise inputs. A hair trigger mode is available for fast-paced gaming, offering an edge during competitive play.

Immersion is a priority as well. Dual HD rumble motors provide responsive vibration feedback, and the GameSir app allows customization for dead zones, vibration intensity, and button mapping. Thanks to swappable ABXY buttons, you can choose your preferred layout, and the turbo function works across face and shoulder buttons for greater versatility.

Extended play sessions are supported with optional clip-on coolers like the FX5 or FX5 Lite (sold separately) to prevent device overheating. By connecting the controller through GameSir’s GameHub platform, you can also access mobile cloud gaming and emulators without additional setup.

If you’re in the market for a handheld controller, the GameSir X5s is now available for $49.99 on the GameSir website. For something new to play, check out this week’s selection of five exciting mobile games to try!
