Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced

Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. The action-adventure title, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.

The closed beta, scheduled for January 16-22, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, will offer fans early access to the game before its full release later this year. Players can register via the game's official website.

Featuring class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, Kingsroad offers a unique story centered around a new character, heir to House Tyrell in the North. Iconic characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and Drogon will also appear. The game's "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat system, showcased in the new trailer, is a highlight.

The game's development by Netmarble, known for titles like Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, leverages the rich lore and character narratives from George R.R. Martin's books and the HBO series. The detailed visuals and immersive gameplay aim to deliver a compelling Game of Thrones experience on mobile. The beta test provides a significant opportunity for fans to engage with this new chapter in the franchise while awaiting future installments of the book series and other related projects.
