"Back to the Future's Time Machine Now Available in CSR2"

Zynga is bringing a nostalgic thrill to Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) with a special crossover event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, Back to the Future, directed by Robert Zemeckis. Starting today, players can now collect and race the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first film. While it doesn't come with any performance boosts or special abilities, it's a fully drivable car that adds a unique touch to the game.

CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future

Alongside the DeLorean, CSR2 is rolling out a comprehensive Back to the Future-themed experience. This includes a custom in-game user interface inspired by the film, a brand-new narrative, and multiple events. Players can participate in three flash events specifically dedicated to the Time Machine, as well as join a community competition.

Zynga has confirmed that more themed events will be released throughout the year, ensuring that this isn't just a one-time update. Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!

While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 like the movie or even Reverse:1999, this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The iconic gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now drivable in-game, which is exciting enough on its own.

Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the uniqueness of this collaboration, calling the Time Machine one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He expressed enthusiasm about allowing players to virtually race the car while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.
