Free Fire to debut new Winterlands: Aurora event to mark the festive season

by Carter Jan 08,2025

Free Fire's Winterlands 2024 update brings the chill with new character, Koda, and frosty gameplay mechanics.

This winter update introduces Koda, an arctic character with an Aurora Vision ability enhancing enemy detection and mobility. Players can spot enemies behind cover (unless crouching or prone) and highlight enemy locations during parachute descent.

The standout addition is Frosty Tracks – ice rails enabling players to dash, shoot, turn, and use throwables while traversing the map. Strategically placed Coin Machines along these tracks reward players with 100 FF coins. Frosty Tracks appear in both Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes.

Aurora Events further enhance the winter theme, introducing aurora-affected Coin Machines (Battle Royale) and Supply Gadgets (Clash Squad). Completing event quests by interacting with these items provides team-wide buffs.
