The highly anticipated hero shooter FragPunk, developed by Bad Guitar, faces a setback as the console release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has been postponed due to "technical issues." Originally slated for a simultaneous launch across all platforms on March 6, the game's console versions will now be delayed indefinitely. Just two days before the intended release, Bad Guitar announced the need for additional time to address unforeseen technical challenges. Although a new release date for consoles has yet to be confirmed, the developers have promised to keep the community informed throughout the process.
In response to the delay, Bad Guitar has extended an olive branch to those who pre-ordered the game on consoles. Affected players will have the option to receive a full refund, in addition to in-game bonuses. These bonuses include credits and rewards from the first season, which players can claim once the console versions finally launch.
On a brighter note, the PC version of FragPunk remains on track and will launch as originally planned on March 6. PC gamers can look forward to diving into the action without any delays.
