The highly anticipated hero shooter, FragPunk, has arrived on PC, but some players are facing a frustrating issue: no audio. This makes enjoying the fast-paced action almost impossible, as sound cues are crucial in FragPunk for effective gameplay. Fortunately, there are a couple of fixes you can try.

While the console release is delayed, PC players can jump in and experience FragPunk's unique Lancers. But the silence? That's a problem. Reddit user Even_Significance581 offers two solutions, both involving tweaking your system settings.
Disabling Exclusive Mode for FragPunk
- Right-click the speaker icon in your PC's system tray.
- Select "Sound settings".
- Navigate to the "Advanced" section and click "More sound settings".
- Right-click your speakers or headphones.
- Choose "Properties", then go to the "Advanced" tab.
- Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
- Click "Apply", then "OK".
- Relaunch FragPunk and check if the audio is restored.
If this doesn't work, there's another option.
Running FragPunk as Administrator
- Right-click the FragPunk shortcut.
- Select "Properties".
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
- Check "Run this program as an administrator".
Running as administrator grants FragPunk full system access, potentially resolving the audio issue. However, if the problem persists, double-check FragPunk's in-game audio settings to ensure everything is set to default. If the issue remains after this, it indicates a problem with the game itself, not your PC configuration. In that case, contact Bad Guitar Studio for support.
