Fortnite Drops Reload Mode, Bringing Back Classic Guns and Iconic Maps!

Fortnite's new "Reload" mode brings back classic vibes with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode throws 40 players onto a smaller map packed with nostalgic locations from previous updates.

What's in Reload Mode?

Reload mode offers intense squad-based combat where the game ends only when your entire squad is eliminated. No solo revives here! This applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

The action unfolds on a compact island featuring iconic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Forget about vehicles – this mode focuses on intense close-quarters combat with a diverse selection of unvaulted weapons, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.

Victory Crowns remain in play. Rebooted players return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds another layer of strategy, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 seconds as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies reduces this timer. Downed players can choose to initiate their reboot immediately.

Elimination and Rewards

Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the battle dynamic and resource-driven.

The Reload mode also features engaging intro quests with substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling, and a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
