After nearly three decades since its cinematic debut, Paul W.S. Anderson's iconic film *Event Horizon* is set to expand its universe with a new prequel. IDW Publishing has announced *Event Horizon: Dark Descent*, a five-issue comic series that delves into the chilling events preceding the movie. This series promises to unveil the harrowing fate of the original crew aboard the Event Horizon ship.

Crafted by acclaimed writer Christian Ward, known for his work on *Batman: City of Madness*, and illustrated by Tristan Jones of *Aliens: Defiance* fame, *Dark Descent* aims to capture the essence of the film's hard-R rating. The series will be brought to life with colors by Pip Martin (*That Texas Blood*) and feature cover art by Ward alongside Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson.
