Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Confirmation Emails Sent, Scams Emerge
FromSoftware has begun sending confirmation emails for the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test. This follows the January 30th, 2025 announcement on their Twitter (X) account. Excited fans are sharing their confirmation emails online.
A follow-up email containing a unique download code for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S test client will be sent on February 11th, 2025. The test itself runs from February 14th to 16th, 2025, with five 3-hour sessions scheduled:
- Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
- Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
- Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
- Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
- Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
FromSoftware described the test as a "preliminary verification test" to assess online systems and server capacity under heavy load. Registration, which closed on January 20th, 2025, was conducted solely through FromSoftware's website and social media channels.
Beware of Scams and Scalpers:
Unfortunately, scams are already circulating, primarily via Steam. Malicious links disguised as network test invites are redirecting users to phishing sites, compromising accounts, and spreading the scam through mass messaging. FromSoftware emphasizes that legitimate invitations originate only from their official platforms.
Additionally, scalpers are attempting to profit from the limited access, listing purported "confirmed test codes" for exorbitant prices ($150-$200) on various online marketplaces, despite codes not being distributed until February 11th.
Elden Ring Nightreign, initially revealed at the Game Awards 2024, is slated for release in 2025 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A precise release date remains unannounced.
