Dadish Creator Unveils New Platformer Dunkadillo

Indie developer Thomas K. Young, the creator behind hit titles such as Dadish, Be Brave, Barb, and Super Fowlst, returns with a brand-new platforming adventure. The game, titled Dunkadillo, is set to launch soon on Android, blending basketball-style gameplay with armadillo-inspired physics.

What’s the game about?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if a basketball were also an armadillo? If not, you're certainly not alone. But if that idea sounds intriguing, you’ll be happy to hear that Dunkadillo brings that very concept to life. The story follows Dill, an armadillo whose peaceful day turns upside down when his best friend, Pickle, is captured by a strange tentacled creature.

Unlike your average armadillo, Dill can curl into a perfect sphere, ricocheting off walls, ceilings, and floors. But what truly sets him apart is how he uses this unique talent—not only to get around but to slam himself through basketball hoops.

Dunkadillo for Android features 50 levels filled with quirky dangers, from exploding bees and clueless porcupines to overly sociable frogs. As you play, you can also discover hidden trading cards showcasing characters from Young's other popular games. Among the collectibles, there are 10 additional playable characters to unlock.

Boss battles add to the excitement—five major encounters await throughout your journey. If the foes weren't eccentric enough, keep an eye out for a giant rabbit that appears later on. Want a sneak peek? Check out the Dunkadillo Android preview below.

When will Dunkadillo arrive on Android?

Dunkadillo is scheduled to release on September 9, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and Steam at a price of $9.99. On mobile—including Android and iOS—it will be free to download with ad support.

At the moment, the Play Store listing isn’t live yet. In the meantime, visit the game's official website for a deeper look into the art and development process.
