Dune Awakening received new trailer and official release date

The upcoming survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, based on Denis Villeneuve's successful film adaptations, is generating significant buzz. Developer Funcom has confirmed a May 20th PC release date, with console versions to follow. A new gameplay trailer showcases the game's core elements: the harsh Arrakisian desert, base-building mechanics, intense combat encounters, and the iconic sandworms.

Players will take on the role of a prisoner on Arrakis, beginning their journey with an escape and a perilous quest to unravel the mystery surrounding a missing Fremen tribe.

To prepare for launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows PC players to optimize their in-game settings and meticulously craft their avatars before the game's official release, ensuring a smoother launch experience.
