Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan

by Victoria Feb 25,2025

Dragon Quest X Offline is finally hitting mobile devices, but only in Japan. Japanese players can purchase the offline version for a discounted price, enjoying the full experience without an internet connection on iOS and Android.

This marks a significant event for fans, as Dragon Quest X, an MMORPG entry in the series, previously received limited attention. The offline version, initially launched in 2022 for consoles and PC, offers a single-player experience, a departure from the original 2012 release. Interestingly, plans to bring Dragon Quest X to mobile were initially announced by Ubitu back in 2013.

Unlike other Dragon Quest games, X incorporates real-time combat and other MMORPG elements.

Unfortunately, a global release for the mobile version isn't currently confirmed. The original Dragon Quest X was exclusive to Japan, and there's currently no official word on international availability for the offline edition. This is disappointing news for many international fans eager to experience this unique installment on their mobile devices.
