Discover New Languages in Fantasma, Dynabytes' AR Adventure, at Gamescom Latam

by Aria Jan 21,2025

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title recently received a language update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish language support expected in the coming months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? In this game, you hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring players to move their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated Fantasma are then captured in special bottles.

These creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Players can also deploy sensors to expand their search radius and attract Fantasma from further distances. Team play is also supported for a more collaborative experience.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download links are provided below. For fans of the AR genre, Pocket Gamer also recommends checking out their list of top AR games for iOS.
