Unlocking the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals
Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players a vast array of explorable worlds. However, a hidden tenth world, the Lost Galaxy, remains elusive, accessible only through ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the game's levels. This guide provides the precise locations of each portal and the steps needed to uncover them.
Each level containing a portal is marked by a distinctive swirling icon on the level select screen. While some portals are easily found, others require puzzle-solving and keen observation.
Portal Locations:
1. Az-Tech Trail:
Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with a wall flanked by four lit torches. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This action will reveal the hidden portal.
2. Creamy Canyon:
Early in the level, navigate past a snowy area with a bouncing ladybug enemy to reach a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it towards an icy statue, and release it to shatter the statue. Backtrack, leap over the ladybug, and perform a charged spin attack to access the portal room.
3. Go-Go Archipelago:
Following the defeat of Captain Pincher, locate his embedded claw. A glowing area nearby indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to uncover a hidden chamber containing the portal and treasure.
4. Downsize Surprise:
Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to initiate bubble generation. Shrink down, ride a bubble, and transfer to another bubble to reach a branch above a bot. From there, navigate to the opposite branch to discover the portal.
5. Free Big Brother!:
This portal is readily accessible at the level's start. Turn around to find platforms with an electric enemy. Lure the enemy to electrocute the platforms, revealing the hidden wall and portal.
6. Bathhouse Battle:
Locate the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, ascend to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend the chimney to find the portal.
7. Hieiroglitch Pyramid:
At the level's conclusion, turn right to find an area with falling jewels and a bounce pad. This leads to a hidden area with a portal and a trap. Locate two hidden switches to open the pathway to the portal.
8. Balloon Breeze:
Obtain the pufferfish power-up. Backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Use the ladybug to reach the floating area, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo and activate the portal.
9. Djinny of the Lamp:
After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins, utilizing Astro's hover to navigate invisible platforms indicated by glowing ground sections. Ride an unfurled rug to reach the final platform and the portal.
10. Frozen Meal:
Before confronting the boss, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside area, revealing the final portal.
