All Dynasty Warriors: Origins Difficulty Settings
Initially, players select from three difficulties: Historian (easy), Wayfarer (normal), and Hero (hard). Ultimate Warrior (very hard) unlocks after completing a faction's main scenario. While a Trophy/Achievement exists for completing a battle on Ultimate Warrior, campaign completion doesn't have difficulty-specific rewards.
Which Dynasty Warriors: Origins Difficulty Setting is Best?
Historian is ideal for newcomers or those prioritizing story over intense combat. Wayfarer provides a balanced experience suitable for most players, even with limited Musou/Warriors experience. Hero is recommended for series veterans seeking a greater challenge. Ultimate Warrior is a significant step up, best suited for experienced players aiming for maximum difficulty after unlocking it. Difficulty can be adjusted between battles in the config menu without affecting the storyline.
Difficulty Mode Differences in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Historian simplifies combat, making enemy attacks easily blockable, staggering enemies easier, and bravery/Musou Gauge accumulation more efficient. Hero increases enemy strength and aggression, reduces parry/evade windows, removes Meat Bun drops, depletes bravery on blocking, limits battlefield influence time, and slightly reduces Skill Points and gold earned. Ultimate Warrior intensifies Hero's challenges with even tighter timing windows and significantly reduced rewards.
