First announced in 2018, the series boasts an eight-episode first season. Production is helmed by Studio Mir, the acclaimed animation studio behind The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97.

Plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, but the series appears to focus on Dante during the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.

The most recent entry in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
