Despicable Me: Minion Rush receives a major update themed around the fourth film in the franchise, now available globally. This update introduces Poppy, a new aspiring villain, and a mission centered around her first heist: stealing the Honey Badger. Players can also enjoy a new World Games Special Mission and a fresh costume, the Renfield outfit, for their minion.

The update is live, coinciding with the upcoming US release of the film on July 3rd. A trailer showcases additional content.

The enduring popularity of the Despicable Me franchise, beginning with Illumination's debut feature film (co-produced by Mac Guff), is remarkable. Minion Rush, itself a massive success with over a billion downloads and a decade-long run, continues to thrive.

Despite some finding Gru and the Minions somewhat irritating, their appeal remains undeniable, particularly with a new movie on the horizon.
