Cyberpunk 2077's Fortnite Debut: Why No Male V?

Fortnite players eagerly awaited the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 items, a highly anticipated crossover. While the collaboration was well-received, the absence of the male version of protagonist V sparked debate among fans. Speculation ran rampant, analyzing CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. However, the explanation is far simpler.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's lore expert and decision-maker for the Fortnite collaboration, clarified the choice. The bundle was designed for two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left only one slot for a V variant. Given Johnny's male gender, selecting the female V was deemed the logical option, a choice Mills also personally favored.

The decision, therefore, wasn't a calculated move but a practical one. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the addition of John Wick.
