Anime streaming powerhouse Crunchyroll has just brought the cult-classic Crypt of the NecroDancer to Android devices. Now known as 'Crunchyroll: NecroDancer,' this beat-driven roguelike rhythm game offers an exhilarating experience on mobile.
Originally developed by Brace Yourself Games, Crypt of the NecroDancer first hit the scene on PC in April 2015. It briefly appeared on iOS in 2016 and Android in 2021, but now, thanks to Crunchyroll, it's back with a bang on both iOS and Android platforms, loaded with heaps of content.
What’s Crypt of the NecroDancer About?
Step into the shoes of Cadence, the daughter of a missing treasure hunter, as you navigate through a rhythm-infused crypt. This roguelike game ensures that every run is unique and challenging.
With 15 playable characters, each boasting distinct play styles and challenges, you'll groove to the beat of Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack. Dodge enemies, collect loot, and dance your way through procedurally generated dungeons. Every move and attack must sync with the music; miss a beat, and you're done for. From dancing skeletons to hip-hop-loving dragons, the enemies are as rhythmic as they come. Check out the action in the official trailer below!
This Isn’t Just A Basic Port
Crunchyroll and the developers have enhanced Crypt of the NecroDancer with additional content for mobile users. Expect remixes, new content, and even Danganronpa character skins for anime crossover enthusiasts. The game also features cross-platform multiplayer and mod support.
Hatsune Miku fans, stay tuned! DLC featuring the virtual pop star along with the Synchrony expansion is slated for release later this year. If you're a Crunchyroll subscriber, dive into this rhythm roguelike now. It's available on the Google Play Store.
