February 2025 in Pokémon GO is packed with exciting events, from Lunar New Year celebrations to a Community Day featuring Karrablast & Shelmet, and even a Dynamax Moltres appearance. Here's a complete rundown:
Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2
Ring in the Year of the Snake with increased spawn rates for snake-themed Pokémon like Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini (Shiny variants available for all!). Enjoy boosted Lucky Pokémon trade chances, easier Lucky Friend attainment, and daily Field Research tasks rewarding PokéCoins. 2KM Eggs will hatch Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi (Shiny possibilities!).
Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9
Dynamax Moltres takes center stage! Available as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots on February 3 (6 PM – 7 PM local time), then continues as a Raid boss until February 9, though availability may be more limited due to concurrent Max Battles featuring Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble (until February 10).
Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9
A dual Community Day! From 2 PM to 5 PM local time, enjoy increased Karrablast and Shelmet spawns, boosted evolution bonuses, and heightened Shiny rates. Evolve your catches by February 16 (10 PM local time) to get an Escavalier with Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball. A Timed Research option is available for a smoother experience.
Beloved Buddies Event: February 11 – 15
Details are currently under wraps, but this event runs from February 11 (10 AM) to February 15 (8 PM local time). Updates to follow.
Raid Day: February 15
A Raid Day event will occur on February 15 (2 PM – 5 PM local time). The featured Pokémon will be announced closer to the date.
Scattered to the Winds Event: February 18 – 20
Similar to Beloved Buddies, details for this event (February 18, 10 AM – February 20, 8 PM local time) are yet to be revealed.
Road to Unova Event: February 18 – March 1
A significant event leading up to the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Global event in March. Features the debut of Shiny Meloetta, Gen 5 Legendary Raids, increased Unovan starter Pokémon spawns, premium Timed Research, and more.
