"What the Clash? Pushes Boundaries, Coming Soon to Apple Arcade"

by Sadie May 19,2025

Triband, the creative minds behind the wildly popular "What the Golf?" and "What the Car?", are set to shake up the gaming world once again with their latest venture, "What the Clash?". Known for their humorous and innovative takes on gaming, Triband is now diving into the realm of competitive 1v1 multiplayer with this new title.

"What the Clash?" is essentially a collection of minigames, reminiscent of the style seen in games like Mario Party. Players can challenge a friend in a variety of quirky contests, from a mechanically enhanced table tennis match to snowboarding showdowns. The game also features leaderboards and tournament modes, adding a competitive edge to the mix.

But, true to Triband's style, there's a twist. In "What the Clash?", players control a character that is quite literally a hand with a body, leading to hilariously unpredictable physics-based gameplay. The game throws in modifiers that can transform traditional minigames into something wildly different, like turning regular archery into "Toasy Archery".

Clash the AppleScheduled for release on May 1st, "What the Clash?" is poised to be a delightful addition to the "What the...?" series. However, fans hoping to play on Android or standard iOS devices will be disappointed, as "What the Clash?" will be exclusive to Apple Arcade.

For those considering a subscription to Apple Arcade, "What the Clash?" might just be the incentive you need to dive into the service's vast gaming library. But if you're determined to stick with independent platforms, don't forget to explore our "Off the AppStore" feature, where we highlight unique and exciting games available on alternative storefronts.
