"How to Catch Shroodle in Pokemon GO"

by Simon Mar 27,2025

The new year for *Pokemon GO* players has been exciting, with numerous new Pokemon to catch and explore. Following the introduction of Fidough, trainers can look forward to adding Shroodle to their collection. However, like many recent additions, acquiring Shroodle isn't as simple as encountering it in the wild.

When Did Shroodle Come to Pokemon GO?

The Toxic Mouse Pokemon, Shroodle, made its debut in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle is a fresh face in the Pokemon universe. Post-event, Shroodle will remain available for players to collect.

Can Shroodle Be Shiny?

At its release in *Pokemon GO*, Shroodle cannot be found in its Shiny form. The Shiny version of Shroodle is expected to be introduced in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or related to Team GO Rocket.

How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

Recent trends in *Pokemon GO* show that new Pokemon often aren't available as wild spawns, and Shroodle follows suit. Instead of appearing on your Nearby radar, you'll need to hatch Shroodle from 12KM eggs. This is currently the only way to obtain Shroodle in the game.

12KM eggs obtained from 12 AM local time on January 15 onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. While it may be more common during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, Shroodle should continue to be part of the 12KM egg pool afterward.

How To Get 12K Eggs

Given that Shroodle is exclusively available through hatching 12K eggs, it's useful to know how to acquire these in *Pokemon GO*. 12K eggs are among the rarer types, and there's only one way to get them.

You can obtain 12K eggs by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni in battle. The Taken Over event is an ideal time to gather these eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars will be easier to obtain. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts to battle Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff at any time to earn a 12K egg, provided you have inventory space.

How To Get Grafaiai in Pokemon GO

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted in *Pokemon GO* on January 15. It doesn't hatch from eggs or appear in the wild, so evolving a Shroodle is the only way to obtain Grafaiai.

The evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candies. To gather the necessary candies, you'll need to hatch multiple Shroodles or set Shroodle as your buddy Pokemon to earn candies as you walk.

*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
