Captain America: Brave New World, clocking in at a concise 1 hour and 58 minutes, claims the title of shortest Captain America film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and ranks among the shortest MCU films overall.
AMC Theatres confirmed this runtime, placing it amongst the select few MCU entries under two hours, and securing its position as the seventh shortest of the 35 films. This contrasts sharply with the previous three Captain America films, all exceeding two hours.
While most shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, a few recent exceptions exist. The shortest MCU film is 2022's The Marvels at 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man. Brave New World shares its runtime with Ant-Man and The Wasp. In contrast, the longest MCU film is Avengers: Endgame at 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Despite its upcoming February 14th release, Brave New World reportedly underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots, including scenes featuring WWE star Seth Rollins. The impact of these revisions on the final runtime remains unclear.
Starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, this film marks the first Captain America movie following Chris Evans' Steve Rogers' retirement. Mackie promises a continuation of the series' grounded espionage style.
The film is also poised to incorporate lesser-known Marvel characters, including a payoff to a tease from The Incredible Hulk, through the introduction of The Leader and Red Hulk.
