Embarking on your journey through the Ligneus Region in *Atelier Yumia* alongside Yumia and her companions, you'll soon discover the joy of setting up camp to bond with your team. But knowing where and when to establish your camp can be a bit tricky. Let's dive into how you can start camping in *Atelier Yumia*.
How to Craft a Camping Set in Atelier Yumia
Unlocking the ability to craft Camping Sets is a breeze once you've completed the manabound Dux Lighthouse, which is the first such area Yumia will tackle in the storyline. After claiming the newly uncovered land and setting up a base, make your way back to the Ligneus Survey Base and have a chat with Erhard to unlock the camping feature.
Crafting a Camping Set requires the following materials:
- 5% Energy
- 3 Wood
- 2 Water
- 5 Fiber
- 2 Charcoal
You can gather all these materials easily around the Ligneus Survey Base. Water is obtainable from wells scattered across the region, or by harvesting plants along riverbanks, which also yield fiber. Charcoal, on the other hand, is a byproduct of breaking down ore.
Once you've collected the necessary materials, access the Simple Synthesis menu and ensure you have a 4×4 space available for crafting. If you lack the space, your Camping Set will be stored in your stash at the Atelier or one of your bases.
Where to Camp in Atelier Yumia
With your Camping Set ready, you're free to set up camp on any open piece of land. Avoid narrow cliffs or dense forests; instead, look for more spacious areas. There are plenty of designated campsites, such as the River Campsite near the Ligneus Survey Base, where you can also establish a small base.
If you've got a Camping Set in your Exploration Bag, you can check the radial menu to see if the Camping option in the bottom right corner is highlighted. If it's greyed out, that spot isn't suitable for camping.
What to Do While Camping in Atelier Yumia
Camping is your unique opportunity to cook the food you gather during your adventures, making it essential to find a spot to rest before tackling challenging bosses or entering manabound areas, especially on higher difficulty settings.
Moreover, camping provides a chance to engage in unique dialogues with your companions. While these conversations aren't crucial to the main storyline, they offer a deeper understanding of your team members.
