Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Is Getting Players Suspended From Matches

Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Causes Unfair Suspensions and Player Outrage

A frustrating bug in Call of Duty: Warzone is leading to automatic player suspensions and sparking widespread player anger. The problem stems from a developer error that causes game crashes, mistakenly flagged as intentional quits in Ranked Play.

The Call of Duty franchise, despite its popularity, has recently faced considerable backlash due to persistent glitches and cheating issues. While developers have claimed improvements to anti-cheat and bug-fixing systems following the Black Ops 6 Season 1 launch, recent updates haven't fully resolved the problems. A major update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, intended to address these issues, appears to have introduced new ones.

A critical glitch, highlighted by CharlieIntel, affects Ranked Play. Game crashes resulting from developer errors trigger automatic 15-minute suspensions, preventing players from immediately resuming. Worse yet, as CoD content creator DougisRaw points out, players also lose 50 Skill Rating (SR), severely impacting their competitive standing and season-end rewards. SR is crucial for determining player division and rewards.

Player Backlash Intensifies

The response from the Warzone community has been overwhelmingly negative. Players are expressing frustration, particularly those who lost significant progress, such as a player who lost a 15-win streak multiplier. Many are demanding compensation for lost SR, anticipating a large-scale SR restoration by Activision. Strong criticism of the game's current state is prevalent, with descriptions like "ridiculously garbage" reflecting the widespread discontent.

This situation is further complicated by recent reports of a significant drop in player numbers for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with almost a 50% decline on Steam, despite the recent addition of new content like the Squid Game collaboration. This highlights the urgent need for developers to quickly address these persistent issues to retain and attract players. The combination of game-breaking glitches and declining player counts paints a concerning picture for the future of the game.
