Burglars Return to The Sims 4

Ten years of tranquil Sims life comes to an end as burglars return to the neighborhood! The Sims 4 developers recently announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update in their latest blog post.

Just like in previous games, installing a security system offers protection against unwelcome intruders. Activating the alarm will summon the police to apprehend the thief. Skilled Sims can enhance the alarm system, improving its reliability and ensuring automatic police notification. For those without an alarm, a call to the police remains an option (though success depends on their timely arrival). Alternatively, players can attempt to befriend the burglar.

More imaginative solutions exist, but require specific game packs. These include unleashing dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves on the culprit, or even freezing them with a specialized ray.

The good news? This burglar update is free for all players.
