Blue Archive sees first in-person fan event taking place over the weekend in heart of Hollywood

Blue Archive held its first live fan event this past weekend

It featured fans in Los Angeles gathering, cosplay displays and photo opportunities

The event marks four years since Blue Archive was initially released

It appears to be truly taking place in Los Angeles, especially if you're a Blue Archive fan. That's because if you were near the HNYPT art gallery this past weekend (on the 6th, specifically), you would have been able to join the first live fan event for Blue Archive ever!

Marking four years since its launch, the 4th Anniversary Assembly: Full Steam Four-ward welcomed over 150 fans who traveled to downtown Los Angeles for the celebration. Attendees had the chance to experience cosplay displays, group gatherings and exclusive rewards for participants.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't attend, as it seems almost all spots were taken immediately after applications opened on November 8th. While this could be due to the limited number of available slots, I don't doubt it also reflects how popular Nexon's anime-style RPG has become among fans.

It's not entirely unexpected that Blue Archive has gained such popularity. Not only does it benefit from the strong support of Nexon, but the RPG has also been adapted into anime, which is sure to give it a major advantage. Additionally, the wide range of characters in Blue Archive (tier list here) remains a significant draw for any gacha-style RPG.

Regarding events, we've seen several rewards offered to fans, but for now, it seems that Blue Archive is continuing as usual. Although with the half-decade event coming next year, I wouldn't be surprised if things change shortly after.
