BlizzConline Unveils Six Exclusive Warcraft Events

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six fan conventions across the world. These events, scheduled between February and May, promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.

The tour replaces Blizzard's traditional BlizzCon, which was absent in 2024. This decision follows Blizzard's participation in events like Gamescom and the launch of its digital Warcraft Direct showcase. The World Tour celebrates key franchise milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first year.

The six-city tour kicks off in London on February 22nd, subsequently visiting Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, Sao Paulo, and culminating in Boston during PAX East on May 10th.

Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:

  • February 22 – London, United Kingdom
  • March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15 – Toronto, Canada
  • April 3 – Sydney, Australia
  • April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)

While details remain scarce, the conventions are expected to focus on fan engagement and community interaction, rather than major announcements. Expect live performances, unique activities, and developer meetups.

Ticket acquisition will differ from standard convention sales. Blizzard describes the events as "intimate gatherings" with free, limited-availability tickets. Information on securing tickets will be disseminated through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their local Warcraft communities for updates.

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A potential late summer/early autumn BlizzCon could serve as a platform to unveil details of the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion, including the highly anticipated player housing feature. However, Blizzard's silence regarding future BlizzCons suggests a potential shift to a biannual schedule.

Regardless of BlizzCon's status, the Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour presents a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate the franchise's legacy and engage with the Warcraft community. Securing a ticket is highly recommended for an unforgettable experience.
