Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

by Thomas May 23,2025

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a comeback in the latest update for The Sims 4, reintroducing the beloved character Robin Banks. This update is rolling out across both PC and console, bringing with it the thrill of nighttime heists. Be sure to safeguard your Sims' valuables, as Robin only prowls under the cover of darkness, typically when everyone's asleep. However, don't let your guard down completely; she's been known to pull off daring heists even when Sims are awake!

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will arrive swiftly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the police can save the day. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," shared The Sims' team. "A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the franchise marking its 25th year, the game remains incredibly popular. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium title. However, upon going free-to-play in 2022, it attracted an impressive 31 million new players immediately, reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And while fans eagerly anticipate news of The Sims 5, there are currently no plans announced for its release. Plum!
