Not happy with your Avowed character's playstyle? Totally understandable! Sometimes we pick the wrong class or invest in stats that don't suit us. This guide will walk you through respeccing and adjusting your character stats in Avowed.

How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When To Do It)

Choosing the perfect character build at the start can be challenging. That's where respeccing becomes valuable - especially in Avowed, where I initially struggled as a pure wizard before switching to a more balanced spellsword build. Later in the game, respeccing helps optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal playstyle.

How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To respec abilities:

  1. Open your menu and select "Abilities"
  2. Find "Reset Points" at the bottom
  3. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt (increases over time)
  4. Confirm payment to reset all skill trees except "Godlike" abilities
  5. Godlike abilities are determined by in-game choices

How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed

To adjust attributes:

  1. Go to the "Character" menu
  2. Locate the reset button below attribute listings
  3. Pay the initial 100 Copper Skeyt fee (cost increases with use)
  4. Attribute points will be refunded

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

For companion respec:

  1. Access the Abilities menu
  2. Select the "Companions" tab
  3. Find the reset button under each companion's name
  4. Pay the required Copper Skeyt amount
  5. Note: Each companion must be respecced individually
