The creative minds behind the original series, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are back to introduce "Avatar: Seven Havens," a 26-episode, 2D animated series. This new chapter follows the journey of a young Earthbender who steps into the role of the next Avatar after Korra. Set against the backdrop of a world fractured by a cataclysmic event, this Earthbender finds herself marked not as a savior, but as a potential destroyer of humanity. Pursued by both human and spirit adversaries, she teams up with her long-lost twin to unravel their enigmatic past and safeguard the Seven Havens—the last bastions of civilization.
In their statement, Konietzko and DiMartino expressed their excitement about expanding the Avatar universe, noting, "When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters."
"Avatar: Seven Havens" is set to be released in two parts: Book 1 and Book 2, each containing 13 episodes. DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creating the series with executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi.
