In the post-apocalyptic world of *Atomfall*, certain items you discover during your travels can prove to be exceptionally valuable. One such critical item is the Signal Redirector, which isn't easy to acquire. If you're having trouble locating it, this guide will show you how to obtain the Signal Redirector.

The Signal Redirector is a specialized tool in *Atomfall* that you can't just stumble upon or purchase from a trader. Unlike the Metal Detector, which might be found on a corpse, the Signal Redirector is located in a specific place linked to one of the game's main characters, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.

To get started, you'll need to pick up a lead in Wyndham Village on Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. From there, you'll have to embark on a rescue mission to free her from the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor, a challenging area teeming with Protocol soldiers.

A strategic approach to ease your infiltration is to connect with Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By helping him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain favor with Protocol, at least temporarily.

Once prepared, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southernmost border of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southern road, behind a massive green door.

Navigate through the prison's multiple levels, evading or neutralizing guards and robots. Don't forget that B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to obtain their **Atomic Batteries**, which are essential for The Interchange.

Descend to the bottom level of the prison, past the dig site area, where you'll find Dr. Garrow locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is stored in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Once you take it, you'll earn the **'Reverse the Polarity' trophy/achievement**.

How to Use Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector, developed by Dr. Garrow, is a hacking tool that allows you to reroute power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This can be crucial for disabling security systems and unlocking storage rooms.

Much like the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will ping you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when a hackable junction box is nearby. The device's needle will guide you towards the box, which will be highlighted when you're close enough.

To reroute the power, select the 'Hack' button. If you need to reverse the hack, simply 'hack' the junction box again.
