Atakhan, the new neutral objective in League of Legends, has been introduced as part of the Noxus Invasion for Season 1 of 2025. Dubbed the 'Bringer of Ruin', Atakhan adds a dynamic element to the game by being the first Epic Monster whose spawn location and form are influenced by in-game actions. This variability ensures that each match feels unique, compelling teams to adapt their strategies based on Atakhan's presence and the overall game dynamics.
When & Where Will Atakhan Spawn In League Of Legends?

Atakhan's Spawn Time
Atakhan consistently spawns at the 20-minute mark, which has shifted Baron Nashor's spawn to the 25-minute mark. This change adds a new layer of strategy to the mid-game phase.
Atakhan's Pit Location
Atakhan's Pit, where players will engage him, appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. The pit's location—either near the Top Lane or Bot Lane—depends on which side of the map has experienced more damage and kills. This gives teams a 6-minute window to prepare for the battle. The pit features two small walls that remain even after Atakhan is defeated, intensifying the skirmishes around it.
Which Form Of Atakhan Will Spawn & Why?
The form Atakhan takes is also influenced by the game's early action. In games with less champion damage and kills, the Voracious Atakhan will emerge. Conversely, if the first 14 minutes are marked by high action, the Ruinous Atakhan will appear. The primary difference between these forms lies in the buffs they provide to the team that defeats them.
Voracious Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Voracious Atakhan, appearing in lower-action games, encourages the slaying team to engage in combat with the following buffs:
- Each team member gains an additional 40 gold for every champion takedown, including assists, lasting the entire game.
- A one-time death mitigation effect for 150 seconds, where instead of dying, the champion enters stasis for 2 seconds before returning to base after another 3.5 seconds. The would-be killer receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal for their team.
Ruinous Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Ruinous Atakhan, spawning in high-action games, provides a scaling buff to the team that defeats him:
- A 25% increase in rewards from all Epic Monsters for the rest of the game, including retroactively for already claimed objectives.
- Each team member receives 6 Blood Petals.
- 6 Large and 6 small Blood Rose Plants spawn around his pit, allowing the team to strategically decide who gains additional stats.
What Are Blood Roses & Petals In League Of Legends

Blood Roses, a new addition to the Rift, typically spawn near champion deaths and Atakhan's Pit, as well as after Ruinous Atakhan is defeated. By attacking these plants, champions can collect permanent Blood Petals, which offer the following benefits:
- 25 XP, with the potential to increase by up to 100% for players with a lower K/D/A ratio.
- 1 Adaptive Force, which can be converted into either Attack Damage (AD) or Ability Power (AP).
There are two types of Blood Roses:
- Small Blood Roses grant 1 Blood Petal.
- Large Blood Roses grant 3 Blood Petals.
