What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered
After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the game world remains open for you to explore. The vast expanse of Feudal Japan is filled with side content, and finishing the main quest does not restrict access to any of it. You're free to delve deeper into the world, uncovering every hidden secret and completing all available side activities.
Moreover, Ubisoft will continue to enhance your experience by adding new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch. This means even after achieving 100% completion, there will be fresh content to keep you engaged.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Once the credits roll, your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not be over. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to experience the complete ending and earn the related achievements.
Additionally, exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke becomes available near the end of the game. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle, and their designs are a nod to long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
As for endgame content, you can continue to progress and reach the game’s maximum level cap well after the credits have rolled.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the adventure doesn't end there. Ubisoft plans to add new content via the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025. This DLC will introduce a new location, the Island of Awaji, and offer over 10 hours of new content.
