Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!

Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is getting a major update on February 3rd: Rogue Frontier! This first major update of the year introduces a host of exciting new features.

Life in the Outlands

Rogue Frontier focuses on the Smugglers, rebels defying the Royal Continent's strict laws and establishing themselves in the Outlands. They operate from hidden underground hideouts – Smuggler's Dens – serving as central locations for banking, repairs, and mission planning. These dens are interconnected via the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.

Players can actively participate in the Smugglers' ongoing conflict with the Royal Guards. Missions include rescuing captured Smugglers and delivering contraband within Smuggler Crates.

Rewards for Loyalty

Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens, rewards player loyalty with exclusive items. These include a Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (featuring a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a new avatar.

The update also introduces Kill Trophies, dropped by defeated players. The quality of the defeated player's loot directly impacts the chance of obtaining a trophy.

New Weapons and Gear

Rogue Frontier adds stylish and powerful new weapons:

  • Rotcaller Staff: Summons a chilling mist to repel enemies.
  • Skystrider Bow: Allows levitation and ranged attacks from above.
  • Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves during melee dashes.

Download Albion Online from the Google Play Store and prepare for the Rogue Frontier update launching February 3rd!
