Famous People

Test your knowledge! How well do you recognize iconic figures from across the globe and history?

This app features 476 of the world's most recognizable historical figures: monarchs and leaders, politicians and musicians, actors and directors. Can you identify the portraits and earn all the stars in every level?

From Alexander the Great to Benjamin Franklin; from Joan of Arc to Fred Astaire; from Louis Armstrong to Winston Churchill.

It's both a history challenge and an art quiz. The game is split into two main difficulty Levels.

Level 1 - 123 widely known individuals (like Julius Caesar and Alfred Hitchcock).

Level 2 - 122 more challenging identities: figures such as Blaise Pascal and Igor Sikorsky, alongside other key philosophers, inventors, and rulers.

Plus four specialized 'professional' levels:

1) Writers (including William Shakespeare and Leo Tolstoy);

2) Composers (from Johann Sebastian Bach to Leonard Bernstein);

3) Painters (like Michelangelo and Georgia O'Keeffe) and a Paintings quiz: Name the artist (e.g., for "Mona Lisa", the answer is Leonardo da Vinci).

4) Scientists (such as Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin).

In every level, you can choose from several game modes:

* Spelling quizzes (on easy and hard settings).

* Multiple-choice questions (with 4 or 6 possible answers). Remember, you only have 3 lives.

* Time game (answer as many as you can in 1 minute) - you need over 25 correct answers to earn a star.

Two learning tools let you explore all the figures without the quiz pressure:

* Flashcards: Find a short biography for each person and a link to their full encyclopedia entry.

* Tables for each level.

The app is available in 24 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and more.

Advertisements can be removed with a one-time in-app purchase.

This quiz is packed with portraits of legendary men and women from every era and culture. Ideal for anyone with an interest in world history. Do you know what Thomas Edison or Ernest Hemingway looked like? Test your knowledge! I regularly update the app by adding new figures; the current total is 476 famous persons.
