Codenames, The Classic Board Game About Spies And Secret Agents, Is Now Out On Android!

Dive into the world of espionage with the Codenames app! This digital adaptation of the popular board game pits two teams against each other in a thrilling battle of wits and word association. Originally designed by Vlaada Chvátil and published digitally by CGE Digital, Codenames challenges players to decipher secret agent identities hidden behind code names.

Decoding Codenames:

Teams receive one-word clues from their Spymaster, attempting to identify their agents on a grid of words while avoiding civilians and, most importantly, the assassin. The game tests your ability to interpret subtle connections and outmaneuver your opponents.

The app version boasts new words, game modes, and unlockable achievements, including a career mode with leveling, rewards, and special gadgets. Asynchronous multiplayer allows for flexible gameplay, with up to 24 hours to make each move. Challenge global opponents or tackle daily solo challenges.

Gameplay and Strategy:

The digital interface presents a grid of cards; players tap those they believe represent their agents. Correct guesses reveal the identities, but selecting the assassin results in immediate defeat. Managing multiple games simultaneously adds a layer of complexity, but mastering the game allows progression to the Spymaster role, creating the clues themselves.

Ready to put your spy skills to the test?

Download Codenames from the Google Play Store for $4.99 and prove your mastery of word association puzzles.
