Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January stress test for Baldur's Gate 3's Patch 8 via a Steam post. This test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation), aims to rigorously identify and address instability and gameplay issues before the official release. Mac and GOG users will not be included in this test. Registration is now open.

A key focus of the stress test is cross-play functionality. Larian acknowledges the complexity of implementing cross-play in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale and invites players to help test this new feature. Players are encouraged to share the registration link with friends or join groups on the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the game's modding community. Significant updates are planned to enhance modding tools, enabling players to create and share their own stories. The official mod tools, released in September, have already seen over 70 million downloads and over 3,000 mod uploads.
